The family rooms and the large playground at the adjacent restaurant make you think that Hotel de Zwammenberg is predominantly aimed at families with children. That sounds logical, even though this is the desired holiday destination for plenty of older couples too. And then mainly couples who want to explore the surrounding countryside or one of the museums in nearby Tilburg or Waalwijk.‘Good starting point to do all kinds of things by bike, on foot, Efteling theme park, Beekse Bergen zoo, a city. Really sweet owners who ensured we had a pleasant stay’, an enthusiastic guest wrote in the digital guest book. Indeed: De Zwammenberg is not only on the ‘The White Feather Gang’ experience route, but also a short distance from the Netherlands’ most famous theme park, the stunning Loon and Drunen Dunes National Park, the lovely centre of Waalwijk and Huis ter Heide Estate.

‘We had a lovely holiday’
Far from the bustle but close to the highlights: that characterises De Zwammenberg. You can, for example visit the Shoe Museum and learn all about the artisanal heritage of Waalwijk. Tilburg is also within cycling distance. Museum De Pont and the Textile Museum are also well worth visiting, but Tilburg is perfect for a day of shopping as well. A little further away, you can go to the historic city centre of ’s‑Hertogenbosch, with its Brabant charm, or the design and technology city of Eindhoven. You can easily combine the lively bustle of the city with sustainable enjoyment in one of the surrounding nature reserves.
Suitable for ‘multigenerational holidays’
De Zwammenberg consists of a restaurant, a bicycle café, hotel as well as a campsite, making it ideal for a stay with the whole family. The children can play around the motorhome, caravan or tent at the campsite, while grandmother and grandfather can have a lovely afternoon nap in their comfortable hotel room. You have uninterrupted views of the natural green surroundings from the generous rooms in this small-scale, spaciously laid out hotel.
