The family has been brewing characteristic regional beers using traditional methods here for centuries. The exceptionally hospitable staff are more than happy to tell you all about the rich, turbulent history of this family brewery. Though their guests – mainly couples, cyclists, walkers and seniors – are also extremely impressed with the stunning setting, as this online review says: ‘Beautifully furnished rooms and super friendly and helpful staff. The surrounding area of Vessem is lovely for walking. The hotel recommended a walking route to us.’

In the morning, you can have breakfast in the old brewer’s house, which makes an overnight stay even more unforgettable: ‘What a wonderful stay and extremely nice owner, with a heart for the business! The rooms (mini suite) are amazing: big, clean and with all modern conveniences. The breakfast is regal and extensive, recommended!!”
Local enjoyment
Besides a dinner in the adjacent MOUT&HOUT restaurant, a stay at this hotel is of course not complete without a guided tour with tasting in the brewery. You can taste how everything is produced here with respect for Mother Nature and her children in all the pure natural ingredients. The brewer’s blood has been running through the veins of the family for generations. When brewing, they even use the Beerze family’s own yeast.
Vessem and surrounding area also offer lovely forests and nature areas. And there is plenty of history to discover: Gnome King Kyrië to the Sint Lambertuskerk (church) and the historical Jacobus corn mill (the largest in the Netherlands!) to traces of the Roman and Merovingian-Carolingian age.
