In the 12th and 13th centuries, the Borchmolen stood on the grounds of the castle of the counts of Rode. They had a keep built there that was surrounded by the water of the Dommel. The mill ground corn and pressed oil. A fulling mill was added at the end of the 16th century, which collapsed into the Dommel in 1925. The corn mill was used until 1938 when it fell still. The mill was demolished in 1944.
