Located between the beautiful nature reserves of Goorven, De Flaes and the Landgoed De Utrecht estate, it’s a place frequented by groups and business guests alongside hikers, cyclists and horse enthusiasts. From Voor Anker, you can step right out into some 8500 hectares of uninterrupted nature! Voor Anker is also the visitor centre for the Wellenseind estate – the multilingual staff would be happy to tell you all about it. In addition to a high-quality restaurant, you will also find a sustainable local shop selling several varieties of locally brewed beer (including the very popular Fallop, brewed on the estate itself) and homemade and/or local products, including honey, jams and fruit drinks.

Voor Anker occupies a modern building with a wooden structure which exudes nothing but warmth and a warm welcome. In line with essential contemporary needs, the building is fully carbon-neutral. Proceeds from Voor Anker are reinvested into the estate. Any conscious, sustainably-minded entrepreneur can book one of the location’s atmospheric meeting rooms with complete peace of mind. Taken alongside the nostalgic farmyard and historic estate, the restaurant forms a more than welcoming location with a lot to offer. Inspiring and inclusive, with plenty of vegetarian options on the menu as well. ‘A very nice location with a beautiful terrace. Friendly staff, everything clean and tidy,’ said one visitor in his guestbook entry.
Homegrown
Voor Anker is distinctive for the wide range of homegrown products on its menu. With fruit from its own orchard and berry garden, vegetables and herbs from the vegetable garden, meat from its own herd of Brandrode cattle (including the meat-based snack bitterballen!), and colourful field bouquets from its own flower meadows, the distance from field to fork is almost negligible. Brabant’s most sustainable restaurant is located in the Acht Zaligheden part of the region, conveniently situated between Eindhoven and Tilburg.
