In this ice cream and chocolate shop, you literally taste ‘masterful’ ice cream prepared by the passionate ice cream makers from this traditional family business. Master ice cream maker Hans not only has the highest degree of professional ability in ice cream making in the Netherlands (SVH Master), but as a Maestro he also teaches at the Gelato University in Bologna. And there are only 21 of these Maestros in the world! Fortunately, Hans spends most of his time in the heart of Eersel, where he infuses his love for the profession into every scoop of ice cream on the historical market square. Maybe that is why this charming and above all welcoming ice cream parlour receives both ice cream fanatics as well as entire families, who enjoy the pure, honest and natural ingredients. And there is also a delicious lactose-free version for people with a milk allergy.

With its Lemon Almond Crunchy flavour, De Smaak! won a silver medal at the Gelato Festival Challenge from ice cream machine manufacturer Carpigiani. Besides preparing traditional ice cream and ice cream products, Hans is also a master in the field of patisserie. De Smaak! Not only makes delicious ice cream, but also fabulous chocolate. Wonderful for spoiling yourself, but the cheerful and original packaging make it a lovely gift as well.

The guest book frequently features the words: ‘Fantastic ice cream!’ Even though guests also clearly enjoy the vast choice, the more than friendly staff and the beautiful business premises in Eersel’s village centre. Surrounded by a number of protected monumental buildings, this is the ideal spot for borderless and timeless enjoyment. It is perfect to combine with a trip around the lovely Brabant Kempen region. Indeed, you can go on lovely cycle rides and walk in the forested surroundings of Eersel. The heaths and fens compete for your attention, as it were.
De Smaak! Not only sells its delicious ice cream in the heart of Eersel, but you will also find an ice cream parlour in the nearby Bladel, and De Smaak! is also sold in the ‘Kennis van IJs’ ice cream kitchen in Duizel.
