Via dagjedenbosch.com, you can book the best city walks and guided tours in the most exceptional buildings in the historical city centre of ’s-Hertogenbosch. With no fewer than 75 volunteers, ‘Kring Vrienden van ’s-Hertogenbosch’ (Circle of Friends of ’s-Hertogenbosch) offers various fun and informative city walks. The most remarkable thing is that you can always adapt the walk to meet your wishes. Furthermore – led by a guide – you can visit the town hall, the Swan Brothers’ House, the Mariënburg Campus or the stunning St John’s Cathedral and its tower. On the first Sunday of the month, you can even help ringing the bells of this highlight of Gothic architecture in the Netherlands.

Historical alternative
It makes perfect sense that city walks or guided tours mainly attract people who are interested in history and wonderful stories. And the historic city centre of ’s-Hertogenbosch has plenty of those, judging by the following digital review: ‘Five-star review: went on a city walk with the guide Nanje. It was only a small group, so the tour was adapted to our wishes. She told the wonderful historical stories hidden behind the buildings and the design of this beautiful city. Saw lots of things and could ask all kinds of questions. Super experience and highly recommended!’

A city walk or guided tour is also a lovely way to spend time even for people who do not like standard activities like shopping. And potentially, as an alternative for anyone who is ‘forced’ to go along on a shopping trip but would rather have a more historical experience.

For more than 50 years
Kring Vrienden van ’s-Hertogenbosch is originally a heritage association that has collected, studied, described and documented good stories for more than 50 years now. Or, in other words, extremely useful input for the volunteer city guides, who tell amazing stories to visitors to the city every day, for example during an exceptional walk at Orthen Cemetery. The multi-lingual dagjedenbosch.com offers many more possibilities. In fact, too many to list here.
