The Strabrechtse Heide, to the north of the village of Heeze, is an area of approximately 4,500 acres,
most of which is managed by the State Forestry Administration. The majority of the heathland is
open to visitors, but the paths are situated in such a way that animals and plants can live undisturbed
lives.
Tips
- Flocks of sheep are regular inhabitants of the Strabrechtse Heide.
- The De Plaetse nature gateway is an ideal starting point for a hike or bicycle ride through the
Strabrechtse Heide.
