The White Castle

Pretend you’re a character in a fairy tale at this beautiful, historic estate, just a few minutes’ drive from Loon and Drunen Dunes National Park. Spend the night in luxury in one of our three attractive holiday homes, surrounded by beautiful gardens. Or come and enjoy a delicious lunch or a relaxing drink at Café Het Koetshuis on a Sunday. We hold regular live music events on Sunday afternoons throughout the summer, and even concerts in the castle. Het Witte Kasteel is also an inspirational venue for events and work, located just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Loon op Zand. And, unsurprisingly, a popular party and wedding venue – unique, special, historic and versatile.

Historic predecessors
We offer guided tours through the castle with a prior reservation, during which you can learn all about the more than 600 years of history of this special place. Did you know that royalty and politicians, including Louis XIV (the Sun King), Emperor Charles V, Frederick Henry and Constantine Huygens, and even Napoleon himself, have either visited or stayed the night here? Though, not in one of our three holiday homes! They have only recently been converted for comfortable overnight stays. Our Het Neerhuis holiday home can accommodate four people, while Het Theehuis and Het Wagenhuis can accommodate two. The latter two are also used as bridal suites and can even be booked as a quiet and comfortable workspace, perhaps to write a book. There’s no mass tourism, just exclusive hospitality, nature and calm.

Four-star venue
‘The estate is calm, atmospheric and pleasant. The Loon and Drunen Dunes are beautiful and just round the corner. An extremely attractive and cosy little house. And it’s not just that ‘Brabant Sahara’ that you’ll find nearby, there’s also the Huis ter Heide estate, where there are fantastic walks to enjoy, and top-class attractions like Efteling. The Beekse Bergen safari park is just a 20-minute drive away, as are the vibrant city of Tilburg and historic cities of ’s-Hertogenbosch and Breda.
