The watermill dates from the mid-19th century. In 1246, the mill was part of the Hooydonk noble women's monastery. The mill went up in flames during the Eighty Years’ War but was rebuilt afterwards. It was once used to store oil and to saw wood. Nowadays, the righthand building still houses the corn mill.
