Boerderijwinkel Ons Jos

Jos and Caroline van Esch’s farm originates from 1890 and is an authentic family business. The stables and hayloft are still largely in the original condition. When their 65 Montbéliarde cows are not in the stable, they and the young stock can be admired around the farm and in Loon and Drunen Dune Nature Reserve (Hengstven). The Esch family has been actively involved with preserving the biodiversity of their area for years. Their business holds the nature-inclusive label. In Ons Jos farm shop they sell fresh fruit, eggs, cheese, eat, diary and other local farmers’ produce.

Dune farmers

Ons Jos is one of the 180 businesses in the rural area around Loon and Drunen Dunes that has united in the Stichting Duinboeren (Dune Farmers Foundation). They are set up as guardians of the agricultural landscape and are committed to the transition between the nature reserve and the surrounding towns and villages. They connect farmers, land, countryside and residents through their products and activities. Under the ‘Duingoed’ label, they offer delicious local produce, including prize-winning cheese, and small-scale recreation.
