This church building for the Protestant Community in Oudenbosch was constructed in 1819.  King Louis Napoleon wanted to ensure a balance between the Catholics and the Protestants in the predominantly Catholic south of the country, so he made sure that Reformed churches would also be established. They are therefore known as Louis chapels or Napolean chapels.
