Salman Dirir – RUUN

"RUUN" which means truth in Somali, is an ongoing artistic and personal investigation by Eindhoven theatre maker Salman Dirir. RUUN revolves around exploring personal and cultural truths, with Salman focusing on his relationship to his Somali-Dutch bi-cultural background. The performance investigates how past and present relate to each other, and how traces from the past influence our current lives.

Salman Dirir is affiliated with Thinx, an initiative of the Parktheater in Eindhoven that supports emerging theatre talent in their development into independent theatre makers. He works with various art forms such as film, dance and music, which reflects his multidisciplinary approach.
