On the occasion of the liberation, eighty years ago in September 2024, the art committee of Landgoed Kasteel Geldrop is organising a unique thematic exhibition titled 'THE TACHTIGY YEARS OF PEACE'.

From many years of exhibitions at Geldrop Castle, the Art Committee has selected 29 artists to shape this special exhibition. Each artist has supplied a work of art that ties in with the subject. This creates a broad scope, a cacophony in style and use of materials, which nevertheless becomes a unity through the common theme: vision of peace and freedom. In September 2024, we will celebrate the 80th anniversary of our liberation. The title of this exhibition ties in with this anniversary but is also a subtle reference to the Eighty Years' War, which did not last eighty years. Unfortunately, our world does not have a period of eighty years of peace either.

This is precisely why Peace and Freedom, especially at this time, are of great importance!

The exhibition is free to enter and runs from Sunday 1 September to Sunday 27 October. Opening hours are on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday between 2pm and 5pm.  The exhibition rooms at Geldrop Castle are on the first floor and are wheelchair accessible.
