In this day and age it is difficult to choose how to behave and with whom to connect. There are so many perspectives in the world around us. How do we stay in touch with our sincere personal thoughts between all those fast liquid levels of communication? How do we continue to speak ourselves fearlessly? Can we really hear ‘the other’ – all beings that are different from ourselves? Griet Menschaert uses her pencils to reflect, confront, comfort and process. Her work is like a diary in which her thoughts are visualized.
