Korte Golf is Natlab’s new monthly talk show where we take time to reflect on Eindhoven. We talk to people who are shaping the city – those who ask questions, share new ideas or simply know how to listen. No rigid format, but an open and curious evening full of unexpected encounters.

Each edition is hosted by Oscar Kocken, joined by a different co-host from the city, who brings along a guest they believe needs to be heard. We listen to stories, explore new perspectives – and let the city speak through music by unique performers.

And there’s always a moment for love: an ode to Eindhoven. A resident shares a place in the city that holds personal meaning. A hidden alley, a busy square, a quiet bench, a lasting memory.

We’re kicking things off with none other than Jeroen Dijsselbloem, mayor of Eindhoven, as our very first co-host. He’ll be bringing along Anthony van Lierop — someone from the city who, in his view, deserves to be heard. 

We’ll also be speaking with Kristel Doreleijers – linguist, writer, and postdoctoral researcher at the Meertens Institute. She earned her PhD researching language change in North Brabant dialects, and now focuses on how young people express themselves through language, both online and offline. Kristel understands better than anyone how language shapes our identity – and how local speech patterns can give a city its character.

Music will be provided by Lisa van Nes, an Eindhoven-based singer whose voice and stories will strike a chord with you.

And of course, there’s our ode to Eindhoven. For this first edition, Hannie Derks, Natlab’s new director, will share a place in the city that holds deep personal meaning. A heartfelt tribute to the everyday – or the beautifully overlooked.
