About the Performers

Capella Sine Nomine is an ambitious project choir that has been led by André Vis since its founding in 2013. Our goal is to perform choral music from different style periods at a high level. Sometimes we sing with the accompaniment of instrumentalists, but usually a cappella. The programs are always challenging and surprising, both for the singers and for the listener.

10 years ago we took the plunge and started Capella Sine Nomine, not knowing what awaited us. With a small group of singers we sang the Requiem by Tòmas Luis de Victoria. That small choir without a name has now grown into an ensemble that has certainly made a name for itself in the choral world.

We opened our anniversary year last February with the Old Skool concerts full of music from the Renaissance, and now we stand before you with a program consisting of 20th and 21st century choral music. So Capella has not only been around for 10 years, but is also a jack of all trades!

We are of course very happy with this anniversary, but we are just as happy with you as an audience, who has come to listen to us so faithfully all these years. Without you, there would be no Capella Sine Nomine!
