Trico is a world music ensemble from the Netherlands that tries to capture different styles of music from all over the world in their compositions. The result is an organic mix of Arabic and flamenco music, with influences from Latin and modern jazz. Trico has a line-up that is unique to the Dutch music landscape and an exotic sound full of melancholy and energy.
The band recorded their debut album in the summer of 2021 in Wedgeview Studios with Udo Pannekeet as engineer. All pieces are compositions by the different band members, but together they form a strong whole through their characteristic sound. This album represents their love for world music and their search for the perfect mix of all these influences.
